Konso people are hard-working, wonderful and honorable. They have developed a marvelous cultural landscape which exemplifies a living tradition that won the attention of UNESCO to inscribe it as ninth Ethiopias heritage. The center of their social life is a multifaceted purpose public place, Moora. It is an inter-generational institution without which one cannot fully comprehend Konso culture. Since the past and present the institution of Moora plays a vital role in the social life of the Konso people. However, the institution of Moora is currently on the spot of drastic transformation. Hence, carefully managing and proper documentation of their cultural landscape in general and Moora institution in particular is earnestly recommended.

Mr. Kansite Korra received his bachelor degree in History from Mekelle University, Ethiopia in 2007. He has graduated with M.A degree in Social anthropology from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia in 2011. He has been working in the position of lecturer at Arba Minch University department of Sociology and Social Anthropology.
